Ukrainian company Pegasus Arms and Germany’s Rohde & Schwarz will jointly develop advanced reconnaissance systems.
Pegasus Arms told Militarnyi about the cooperation.
Pegasus Arms is a Ukrainian manufacturer of heavy strike drones, including the Pegasus Arms 25 model, and is part of the defense holding Martyn Tech.
Rohde & Schwarz develops electronic warfare support and signals intelligence (SIGINT) systems for the defense sector.
The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding.
The parties are joining forces to create advanced solutions in aerial reconnaissance and electronic support.
According to the company, this will significantly expand the capabilities of drones for military use.
Under the memorandum, the partners have already outlined the first practical steps:
“Integrating world-class solutions from Rohde & Schwarz opens up entirely new possibilities for our unmanned systems,” said Pegasus Arms Director Illia Samoshkin. “Equipping them with advanced systems will significantly expand their functionality.”
It is stated that the Pegasus Arms 25 will not only be able to deliver payloads from point A to point B, but will also perform new functions.
As of today, more than 1,500 of the company’s heavy bomber drones are operating on the front line. The integration of advanced systems from Rohde & Schwarz will allow these drones not only to independently destroy enemy targets, lay mines, or carry out logistics missions, but also to perform fundamentally new types of operations.
It is worth noting that Ukraine recently opened the possibility for partners to train artificial intelligence models for drones using real combat data.
