The Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed two infantry fighting vehicles of the Russian invasion forces.
A video featuring the work of the ATGM crew was published by the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces Command.
Enemy armored vehicles were destroyed with the domestic-made Stugna-P ATGM.
Zhytomyr paratroopers “worked” against the BMP-2.
The Ukrainian military published two videos that captured the process of aiming, tracking, and hitting the enemy`s armored vehicles.
“Thus, the video recorded the ATGM crews of the 95th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine skillfully using the domestic-made Stugna-P ATGM and enchantingly burning two enemy BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles,” – noted the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces Command.
The first BMP-2 was hit in motion. After being hit with a guided missile, it stopped and started to fume.
The second infantry fighting vehicle was moving in open terrain. After the missile hit, a massive explosion occurred, presumably causing significant damage to the Russian BMP-2.
BMP-2 is a Soviet caterpillar infantry fighting vehicle designed to transport personnel to the frontline, increase its mobility, firepower, and protection on the battlefield in case of nuclear hostilities, or join tanks in combat.
Recently, the military of the 80th Air Assault Brigade had also destroyed two Russian tanks using the Javelin ATGM.
It was reported that the Russian modern Т-90А tanks fell under the attack of the Ukrainian military.
Javelin is a portable anti-tank missile system manufactured by the American companies Raytheon and Lockheed Martin. This is the first third-generation serial produced ATGM, which works by the “fire-and-forget” principle. The missile has a thermal homing head, thus the missile system operator does not have to track and adjust the rocket’s flight after launch as it approaches the target.
