Ukrainian forces have launched a missile strike on the Luch Thermal Power Plant in the Russian city of Belgorod.
This was reported by the local Telegram channel Pepel.
After the shelling, the power supply was cut off in part of the city, particularly in the center. According to local residents, at least four missiles hit the facility.
The damage was also confirmed by the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
“There have been power outages in the city and the region’s districts. I am currently on my way to the facility,” he said.
This is at least the fifth strike on this energy facility since the fall of 2025. Also, on February 5, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck another thermal power plant and substation in the Belgorod region.
The Belgorodenergo website reported that numerous damages to electrical equipment were recorded in the area of the village of Striletskoye, near which the Frunzenskaya substation is located, and in the center of Belgorod, where the Belgorod thermal power plant was hit.
