Ukrainian strike drones attacked a Russian chemical plant in the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk in Russia’s Kirov region.
The Exilenova+ Telegram channel reported the incident.
The strike on the facility, which is part of the Uralchem company structure, took place on the morning of Friday, March 13.
According to the channel’s sources, preliminary reports indicate that two drones struck the ammonia workshop, while another hit the polymer production workshop.
The drone strike on the industrial facility in Kirovo-Chepetsk was confirmed by the region’s governor, Alexander Sokolov.
According to him, there were allegedly no fatalities or injuries as a result of the strikes. Emergency services are working at the scene.
The Telegram channel also noted that during the attack, employees of the chemical plant evacuated to bomb shelters, while the shift that was supposed to start work was sent home.
The head of the Kirov region warned local residents that they could face liability for sharing photos and videos from the scene online.
The chemical plant attacked today specializes in the production of mineral fertilizers, including ammonium nitrate, urea, and other products.
The enterprise is strategically important for the region and is one of the main suppliers of mineral fertilizers in Russia. Its products are used both in industry and in the agricultural sector.
A previous strike on this Russian chemical plant took place on March 4, when several Liutyi drones hit the facility’s territory. A fire broke out afterward.
It is worth recalling that on the night of March 12, Ukrainian drones struck an oil depot in Tikhoretsk, in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.
