On the evening of January 6, Ukrainian drone strikes ignited a Russian oil depot near the city of Stary Oskol in Russia’s Belgorod region.

The Exilenova+ Telegram channel published footage from the scene.

Local residents reported witnessing a large-scale fire at the facility, with flames visible from several kilometers away.

Later, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov also confirmed the drone strike on the oil depot.

He stated that the explosion at the oil depot in the Stary Oskol district caused several fuel storage tanks to catch fire simultaneously.

Gladkov blamed the Ukrainian Defense Forces for the attack, while stating that no casualties were reported as a result of the fire at the facility.

On the night of January 6, Ukrainian strike drones hit a Russian oil depot in the Lipetsk region, where a fire also broke out.
