Russia has canceled the Army-2025 military-technical forum, which has been held annually at Patriot Park since 2015.
The Russian newspaper Izvestia reported the cancellation, though the Ministry of Defense has not provided an official reason for the decision.
The official Army-2025 website remains online, but the dates for the forum — originally scheduled for August 11–14 — have been removed.
Archived versions of the site show the original dates. Izvestia suggested the event may still take place, but in a closed format without public access.
The Army Forum is a key exhibition organized by the Russian Ministry of Defense and traditionally held in Patriot Park in Kubinka, near Moscow.
In recent months, Russia has tightened security measures in response to Ukrainian drone attacks. These include disabling mobile internet during major events involving senior officials.
For example, mobile internet was shut down in Moscow during the Victory Day parade and in St. Petersburg during the annual international economic forum.
While such events had not previously been canceled for security reasons, mobile internet access was disabled across the country this spring due to drone threats.
In May, a Ukrainian long-range drone — reportedly the Lyutyi model — struck a target inside Patriot Park.
The park features military vehicles, historical reenactments, and exhibitions on Russia’s military history.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the park has increasingly served as a platform for military propaganda. Several organizations affiliated with the park have been placed under international sanctions.
