The Ukrainian Defense Forces have liberated and completely cleared the border village of Bezsalivka, Sumy region, from Russian invaders.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that units of the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment and the 24th Separate Assault Battalion were involved in the operation.

It is also reported that during the fighting, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 18 Russian invaders.

On July 7, 2025, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the alleged capture of Bezsalivka. However, neither the monitoring resources, including DeepState, nor the General Staff noted the presence of the Russian military in this settlement on their daily map.

It can be assumed that the Russian military attempted to make a breakthrough with an assault or sabotage and reconnaissance group on a new section of the border in Sumy region and were destroyed in this border village.

In 2021, 16 people lived in Bezsalivka, and as of early July 2025, several people remained in the village. Yurii Zarko, the head of the Bilopilska community, told Suspilne TV about this at the time. They refused to evacuate. According to him, that was a family that kept cattle.

“Elderly people. They were offered an opportunity to leave, financial assistance. They also offered to help them take their cattle. They refused. We have no contact with them now because the phone is simply not working. And it is impossible to reach them now because of the security situation. This village is actually on the border, 800 meters away,” said Yuriy Zarko.

In late July, soldiers of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment liberated the village of Kindrativka in Sumy region, about 2.5 kilometers from the border with Russia.

According to DeepState’s sources, the 225th Separate Assault Regiment unit has completed the clearing and consolidation of Kindrativka. It is noted that during the operation, Ukrainian units inflicted significant losses on the enemy.

In particular, a battalion of the 40th Separate Motorized Rifle Regiment, a battalion of the notorious 155th Separate Marine Brigade and a Battalion of the 30th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade were defeated. The commander of the Battalion of the 30th Motorized Rifle Brigade was also killed.

This is the second village liberated by this unit in Sumy region. Before that, in June, the 225th Brigade liberated the village of Andriyivka, about 5 kilometers from the border with Russia.
