Ukrainian company Stetman has signed an agreement with Swedish company Requtech on the licensed production of satellite terminals for OneWeb and Intelsat platforms.

This announcement was made by Stetman CEO Dmytro Stetsenko.

According to him, the terminals are flat satellite dishes, similar to the automotive versions of Starlink. The company aims to offer an alternative to Starlink for critical applications, particularly for the military and government agencies.

OneWeb terminals are functionally similar to Starlink but offer lower speeds—5/50 Mbps compared to 20/200 Mbps, while providing a more stable connection.

As Stetman expands its satellite equipment production, it is considering entering the European market in the future.
According to Dev.ua, the agreement with Requtech will allow for the licensed serial production of satellite terminals in Ukraine.

The Swedish company will provide technical documentation and the rights for independent terminal production. This will enable Stetman to tailor the terminals to Ukrainian needs, including adding its own design, protection, and components. In return, Requtech will receive a licensing fee for each product.

“We adapt it to our needs, incorporating our own design, protection, and components, which we have already successfully used in STARMOD for Starlink and have been supplying to the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine for the past 2.5 years,” said Dmytro Stetsenko.

In an interview with DOU, Dmytro Stetsenko mentioned that the company planned to produce between 2,000 and 10,000 terminals per month within six months. Some of the equipment is already available, and the purchase of high-tech equipment for assembly line production is currently underway.

Speka reports that Stetman’s equipment packages have been certified and codified by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, which will expedite the production launch.

In early April, it was announced that Germany had financed Ukraine’s access to the Eutelsat satellite Internet network as an alternative to Starlink terminals.

According to Eutelsat CEO Eva Berneke, Eutelsat has been providing high-speed satellite Internet services in Ukraine for about a year through a German distributor.

“We are now aiming to get 5,000 to 10,000 terminals relatively quickly,” Berneke said, adding that this could happen “within a few weeks.”
