Recently, in a Facebook group called InterProInvest Anna Varibrusova published a video of testing the bullpup assault rifle Vulcan in one of the Asian countries.

5.45/7.62-mm Malyuk assault rifle, which is a deep modernization of the Kalashnikov assault rifle designed according to the Bullpup scheme, adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2017, as a special assault rifle Vulcan. In the beginning, the modernization was due to the processing of Kalashnikov rifles with calibers of 5.45/7.62-mm under the Bullpup version, and then the manufacturer went into production from scratch.

Malyuk/Vulcan

According to the Krasylivsky aggregate plant SE, the Malyuk assault rifle designed according on bullpup platform – this is one whose action is located behind the trigger instead of in front of it. There is also located a magazine release button. The safety is also moved forward and is made in the form of a button.

The weapon is equipped with three Picatinny rails – for installing additional optical and mechanical devices, including a sight, handle, bipod, etc. Also on the Malyuk is attached and a quick-removable suppressor.

The magazines is compatible from Kalashnikov rifles are inserted into a special magazine shaft, which helps to fix the magazine better. However, it does not allow the use of multi-row and disk magazines. The safety in the rifle is above the trigger.

In the rifle, the energy of powder gases is optimally used and the convection system of heat removal from the barrel is applied. Due to this, the resource of the barrel is increased more than twice compared to the Kalashnikov assault rifle

It is possible to use weapons, both left and righthanded. At the same time, the ergonomic handle does not move when firing. Compared with the Kalashnikov rifle, the Malyuk has less recoil. It can be controlled with one hand: release the safety catch, firing, change the magazine and reload.
