Ukrainian Armor has presented a command and control vehicle for coordinating anti-aircraft systems based on the Novator 2 armored vehicle.
Militarnyi correspondents report this from the MSPO international defense exhibition in Poland.
The mobile control center on the chassis of an armored vehicle is designed to coordinate air defense at the tactical level, combining anti-aircraft systems, mobile fire groups, and reconnaissance assets.
The system is based on the Krechet integrated control system, an air defense tactical group control center designed for automated control of air defense units.
The system is capable of integrating up to five digital radars, ten mobile firing groups, and up to four night vision detection devices into a single network. It performs automatic target allocation and is capable of managing up to 10 target channels simultaneously.
Inside the vehicle, there are seats for three operators and air monitoring equipment that allows tracking up to 250 targets simultaneously within a 300-kilometer radius.
The developers informed Militarnyi that the Krechet control system integrates radar stations and anti-aircraft systems currently used by the Ukrainian military, enabling them to operate on the battlefield.
The mobile station can be deployed within 10 minutes and can operate around the clock in full autonomy.
“The idea to create the vehicle traditionally originated from communication with the military. Under the current conditions of constant threat of massive missile and drone attacks, the task of Novator-2. Krechet is to increase the effectiveness of air defense units and their safety,” Vladyslav Belbas, CEO of Ukrainian Armor, shared.
The command and staff vehicle retains the mobility and protection of the original Novator armored vehicle, which was designed to withstand fire from 7.62 mm small arms (STANAG 4569 Level 1).
The vehicle also has advanced mine protection against detonation under the wheel or underbody of a high-explosive mine, the explosion of which is equivalent to a 6 kg TNT charge.
Ukrainian Armor previously presented a medical evacuation version of the Novator 2 armored vehicle, the first samples of which were put into service with the National Guard combat brigades.
