Ukrainian Armed Forces Destroy Rare Typhoon-VDV Equipped With 30 mm Cannon

Ukrainian troops struck a rare K-4386 Typhoon-VDV armored vehicle equipped with a 30 mm cannon.

The vehicle was detected by the STAR unmanned systems battalion of the 22nd Mechanized Brigade.

Russian troops abandoned the Typhoon-VDV near the Ukrainian defensive line featuring dragon’s teeth.

The vehicle is based on a protected 4×4 wheeled platform—the KamAZ-4386 (K-4386).

The damaged Typhoon-VDV was equipped with a 32V01 combat module, armed with a 30 mm 2A42 automatic cannon and a 7.62 mm PKTM machine gun.

Inside the vehicle is the operator’s station with a control panel, a built-in ballistic computer, and a remote control unit.

The operator’s panel displays operational and video information, firing correction values, as well as data on the status of the module’s subsystems.
