Ukraine to Receive €100 Million in New Military Aid from Ireland

Ukraine will receive a new €100 million military aid package from Ireland.

Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin announced this on Tuesday, according to European Pravda.

He made the announcement during a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Dublin.

According to the politician, the funds will be directed toward non-lethal military support.

Martin added that since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ireland has provided Ukraine with over €340 million in financial assistance, €166 million of which has been allocated for non-lethal military aid.

“Today, I am pleased to announce that we will provide an additional €100 million for non-lethal military assistance, as well as a further €25 million to help Ukraine support its energy system,” the Irish Prime Minister said.

In October, it was announced that in recent months, Ukraine has received 34 vehicles from Ireland, including ambulances, a fire truck, and five radar stations. The radars delivered are likely the Giraffe Mark IV systems, which Ireland announced earlier this year it was preparing to transfer.
