Ukraine has received launcher modules equipped with 70mm FZ275 and FZ123 missiles manufactured by Thales to counter Russian drones.
Military observer Jeff2146 reported on this, citing a statement by a company representative at the BEDEX 2026 military exhibition, which took place from March 12 to 14.
According to him, the system is already operational in Ukraine, and the company’s entire line of 70mm missiles, including laser-guided variants, has already been used in combat.
In October 2025, it was announced that Thales Belgium planned to produce about 3,500 FZ275 LGR anti-drone 70mm missiles by the end of the year. In 2026, the company expects to increase annual production capacity to 10,000 missiles, which would significantly expand supply capabilities.
At the same time, Thomas Collinet, Director of the Vehicle and Tactical Systems Division at Thales Belgium, stated that these missiles have already been deployed in Ukraine.
He noted that requests from Kyiv exceed the company’s current production capacity, indicating strong demand for these missiles.
The company is also developing the 70mm FZ123 missile with an anti-drone fragmentation warhead, which was presented in 2024 during the Eurosatory defense exhibition.
In early 2025, it was reported that Thales, together with JSC Ukroboronprom, would establish a joint venture in Ukraine, opening additional opportunities for the localization of weapons production.
