Ukrainian investigative authorities have questioned a North Korean prisoner of war captured during hostilities in the Kursk oblast.

The footage was released by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

The captured North Korean serviceman said that he was wounded during one of the battles, and his comrades retreated, leaving him alone.

The prisoner of war could not move and was alone for about 3-5 days, after which he was found and evacuated by the Ukrainian military.

Such actions of the North Korean infantry were reported previously by members of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, Yuriy Bondar and Volodymyr Demchenko, on their social media.

The prisoner also said that his military documents did not contain his photo and were issued under a different name.

On December 22, Militarnyi reported that the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine had seized similar faked documents from the eliminated North Koreans. According to the decrypted data, their real names were Ban Gook-jin, Lee Dae-hyuk, and Cho Chul-ho.

According to the Russian documents, they are Kim Kang Solat Albertovich, Dongnk Jang Suropovich, and Beljek Aganak Kap-oolovich.

These military IDs lack stamps and photographs, feature names written in the Russian style, and list the place of birth as the Tuva Republic.

Recently, two captured North Korean soldiers were brought to Kyiv.

As a rule, Russians and other North Korean military personnel finish off their wounded and do everything they can to prevent evidence of the participation of another state, North Korea, in the war against Ukraine.

A successful operation to capture them was carried out by a soldier of the 84th Tactical Group of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and paratroopers.

The Security Service of Ukraine, in coordination with South Korean intelligence, is currently communicating with the North Korean prisoners. They communicate with them through a Korean interpreter.
