On March 22 and during the night of March 23, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted a series of successful operations, striking Russian air defense facilities.
Combat operations took place both in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and in border regions of Russia, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert ‘Madyar’ Brovdi.
In the Donetsk region, near the village of Kurakhivka, a Tor-M1 anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed. Its radar is capable of detecting air targets at a distance of up to 27 km, and the system’s missiles can strike targets at a range of up to 16 km and an altitude of up to 10 km.
The successful destruction of the Tor in the Donetsk region was the result of operations by the 9th ‘Kairos’ Battalion, part of the 414th Madyar’s Birds Unmanned Systems Brigade.
Simultaneously, strikes were carried out against targets in the Bryansk region of Russia. There, an 2S6 Tunguska anti-aircraft gun-missile system was hit.
This system combines gun and missile armament, with a target detection range of up to 18 km. The missile component of the system allows for the destruction of targets at a distance of up to 8 km, while the guns operate within a radius of up to 4 km.
Near the village of Suponeve in the Bryansk region, the 413th USF Regiment struck a Nebo-U radar station. It is capable of detecting aircraft and cruise missiles at distances of up to 700 km and at altitudes of up to 75 km.
