The Netherlands and Ukraine have agreed to launch joint drone production in both countries.
Ukrainian Defenсe Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the agreement was signed with Dutch Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans. The document opens up the possibility of deepening military-technical cooperation and speeding up production processes.
Production facilities will be shared between Ukraine and the Netherlands. This format allows to increase the volume of equipment production and provide operational logistics for partners.
According to the agreement, the drones will be purchased by the Dutch side, after which they will be transferred to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. This creates a transparent support mechanism and guarantees stable supplies.
“We continue to scale up the production of the best models of Ukrainian weapons in cooperation with our partners,” Shmyhal emphasized, commenting on the results of the agreements.
The agreement also strengthens the position of Ukrainian producers and expands the possibilities of integrating their solutions into European defense programs. The parties expect the project to promote the development of innovative technologies and strengthen defense capabilities.
In addition, the Netherlands has announced the allocation of €250 million for the PURL initiative to support long-term defense projects for Ukraine.
