The representatives of the Ukrainian Defense Industry JSC Ukroboronprom held talks with Colt Canada at the International Defense Industry Exhibition MSPO on potential cooperation in the field of small arms.

Ukroboronprom Director General Herman Smetanin announced this on his social media.

The discussion was about the integration of Colt Canada’s small arms service into Ukroboronprom’s production processes. This will reduce logistics costs and ensure prompt maintenance of weapons directly in Ukraine.

Other important negotiations between the Ukroboronprom representatives and a number of international partners also took place at the exhibition.

In particular, the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace confirmed its continued cooperation with the Ukrainian defense industry. The opening of its office in Kyiv was another step in the implementation of joint projects.

The Polish company Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) has expressed its readiness to cooperate in the field of precision weapons. Prospects for technological partnership were discussed.

The issue of technical support for new aircraft platforms in Ukraine was also raised. In this context, the establishment of direct cooperation between Lockheed Martin and one of the Ukroboronprom enterprises is being considered.
