The UK is considering integrating Ukrainian defense technology, particularly in counter-drone capabilities, into its armed forces and among NATO allies.

UK Minister for Veterans Affairs Alistair Carns said this in a comment to Suspilne during his visit to Kyiv.

He said technology exchange was a key topic during the visit and noted that Ukrainian solutions are among the most advanced globally.

“We must help Ukraine sell these systems to the West to build industrial capacity and ensure it has the resources to win,” the British official announced.

Carns also confirmed that London will continue to support Ukraine in its war with Russia and backs deeper cooperation in the security sector.

At the end of February 2026, Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems launched drone production at a facility in the UK.

Valerii Zaluzhny, Ukraine’s ambassador to the UK, said this does not involve relocating core production from Ukraine but expanding joint capacity to ensure continuity.

At the request of Miltarnyi, the company stated that the UK facility will produce 200 aircraft per month but did not specify the models. The UAVs will match those produced in Ukraine and will be supplied to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
