The United Kingdom allocates a £60 million package of military support from the UK-administered International Fund for Ukraine.
According to the UK Ministry of Defence, this money will be spent to purchase drones for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
It is reported that this sum also includes £20 million for providing air defense systems to help ensure the safety of Ukraine’s skies.
As previously reported, the Australian Government provided a $50 million grant to the International Fund for Ukraine, directly supporting the procurement of priority military capabilities.
The International Fund for Ukraine is administered by the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence.
It uses international partners’ contributions to procure priority military equipment for Ukraine.
As Militarnyi previously reported, during the visit to Kyiv, UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps announced the allocation of £325 million for purchasing more than 10,000 drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Shapps stated that the UK is allocating £325 million, £125 million more than the amount previously announced, to supply more than 10,000 drones.
The majority of these drones are first-person view (FPV) drones,1000 one-way attack drones, as well as surveillance and maritime drones.
On February 22, it was reported that the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense announced the transfer of an additional number of Brimstone 2 anti-tank missiles to Ukraine.
The country will transfer 200 Brimstone 2 guided anti-tank missiles to Ukraine.
Ukraine will receive missiles of this type soon. That will help ensure the enhanced anti-tank capabilities of the Ukrainian defenders.
