On September 27th, NBC News reported that the United States was exploring the possibility of conducting airstrikes against drug cartels on Venezuelan territory.

According to sources, the plan involves targeted airstrikes using fighter jets or attack drones. The decision has not yet been approved by President Donald Trump.

As part of the operation against drug cartels, the United States has deployed ten F-35 fighter jets to Puerto Rico.

The decision to deploy the fighter jets was made following an incident on September 2nd, when American forces attacked a boat that, according to Trump, was carrying a “huge amount of drugs” from Venezuela. The strike resulted in the deaths of 11 people.

Additionally, the United States deployed six large MQ-9A Reaper drones to Puerto Rico.

Six drones of this type have been delivered to the island. They are capable of performing both reconnaissance and strike missions over long distances.

Additionally, Venezuelan military forces conducted training exercises using various air defense systems capable of shooting down enemy aircraft.
