The United States believes it will be able to identify Russian military units that were killing civilians in Bucha.

According to the US official, identifying those involved is an extremely high priority for the US intelligence community, reports “European Pravda” with reference to CNN.

Collecting and analyzing streams of intelligence using all available tools and assets has been underway since the atrocities were uncovered, and the US is at the point of “narrowing down” the number of suspects.

It is not certain if the US would be announcing its findings publicly or leave that decision up to Ukraine, shared the official.

The US is also analyzing possible indicators that more than one Russian unit or fighter group was stationed in Bucha during the time that the atrocities occurred.

The US is trying to determine whether some of the incidents happened as one Russian unit was withdrawing and another one was being brought in, the official added.

After the liberation of the Kyiv region, the mass war crimes of the Russians in this area had been uncovered for the whole world.

Bodies of many Ukrainian civilians killed by Russians were found in the cities of the Kyiv region and on the roads between settlements.
