The head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Lunin, said that the abandoned tanks would be handed over to the Ukrainian army.
“Several Russian tanks to the piggy bank of the Ukrainian army. Russian weapons will turn against the Russians themselves,” Lunin wrote.
The published photos show the captured T-80U tanks of the Russian army.
Also in the area of the city of Okhtyrka, in the Sumy region, the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade captured the T-80BVM tank.
The T-80BVM is an upgraded version of the T-80BV main battle tank, developed by the Omsk transport machine factory.
