The Russian military command had sent mercenaries from Africa to storm the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Militarnyi reports about this with reference to the 24th Mechanized Brigade.

One of the groups of mercenaries was identified and neutralized in the Luhansk region.

Russian mercenaries in the Popasna district were defeated by the soldiers of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo.

The Ukrainian military stated that the militants came from the so-called “Private Military Company “League PMC” (former “Wagner PMC”).

“The invaders had almost reached Popasna, got tired, and got a well-deserved eternal rest,” the fighters said.

According to the Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov, the Ukrainian military has neutralized a group of mercenaries from Libya.

“It was a surprise to our fighters to see people from the Eastern countries and Libyan currency and telephones,” said the journalist.

Previously, on March 8th, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that to strengthen the military formations, the invaders were planning to transfer one thousand fighters from the structure of the so-called “League PMC.”

As of April 20th, the Russian invaders are conducting assault operations in the area of ​​the settlement of Popasna, Luhansk region.

Russian troops had also stormed Novotoshkivske but were unsuccessful.
