Ukrainian snipers eliminated the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group in the direction of Bakhmut. 7 people were killed, and 3 more were injured.

The Special Operations Forces demonstrated the snipers’ work.

It is noted that the sabotage and reconnaissance group was spotted by the military while practicing combat missions.

The enemy moved towards the Ukrainian positions and tried to pass unnoticed.

“SOF soldiers decided to inflict damage on the Russian invaders who were trying to move unnoticed towards Ukrainian positions. Our snipers eliminated the Russians with accurate shots: 7 people were killed, 3 more were wounded,” the statement reads.

As previously reported, at the end of February, a couple dozen of invaders were eliminated by the soldiers of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade in the Bakhmut district.

The mortar crews of the 1st Mechanized Battalion successfully hit the enemy’s manpower. The mortar crews were also assisted by the “Team Postril” artillery division, which is also part of this brigade.

The morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on March 1 reported that the invaders continue to storm Bakhmut.

“Our defenders repelled attacks in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, and Bila Hora. Zaliznyanske, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Mayorsk, and Zalizne of the Donetsk region were under enemy fire,” the General Staff stated.

The day before, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that the city would receive reinforcements.

Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defense, voiced this.

According to her, the Russians have concentrated their main forces in the Bakhmut area to try and completely occupy the Donetsk region.

She also emphasized that the decision to keep Bakhmut is a military one, not a political one, as Russian propaganda tries to make it out to be.
