The Russian military added the captured Ukrainian armored boat into their Black Sea Fleet.
This regards the Ackerman armored boat (P174) Project 58155 Gyurza-M of the Ukrainian Navy.
An Ackerman small armored artillery boat was captured in Mariupol.
The Russian military assigned a new boat number – 201.
It became known that the boat is being tested in occupied Sevastopol.
Also, the captured Ackerman will take part in the naval parade on the day of the Russian Navy in Novorossiysk.
The Day of the Russian Navy is held annually on the last Sunday of July, this year on July 31.
In 2020, the boat P174 and “Berdyansk” underwent repairs in Mykolaiv at the Mykolaiv Shipyard.
Both boats were introduced to the fleet in 2016, and laid down in 2012 at the Kuznia na Rybalskomu shipbuilding enterprise in Kyiv.
Boats are designed to carry out patrol service on rivers, lakes, outer roads and coastal marine waters with a distance of no more than 50 miles from the home port.
On July 3, 2016, on the occasion of the Navy Day in Odesa, the Ackerman boat was handed over by the President to the Navy.
Small armored artillery boats of project 58155 (code “Gyurza-M”) is a type of small armored artillery boats designed by the State Research and Design Shipbuilding Center.
