The Return Alive Foundation handed over equipment for Ukrainian air defense for almost a quarter of a million for the raised funds of concerned peoples.
Militarnyi informs.
Last week, the foundation’s team handed over equipment to one of the anti-aircraft missile regiments of the Ukrainian Ground Forces to create two mobile command posts in the unit’s divisions at once, the organization’s press service reported.
These posts, together with the computers already installed on the 9K33 Osa (SA-8 Gecko) short-range surface-to-air missile system, will create a single network capable of more effectively identifying and neutralizing enemy aircraft and UAVs.
The implementation of this project was the result of the assistance of concerned citizens and the work of the The Return Alive Foundation team.
The Foundation thanks everyone who has joined in increasing the combat capability of the Ukrainian air defense.
“There is still a lot of work to be done to strengthen the protection of the Ukrainian sky. Together, we can make it an even more unpleasant place for Russian UAVs, helicopters or planes,” the Foundation noted.
Last year, the Foundation equipped the Ukrainian Ground Forces with the mobile control and intelligence post for air defense on the frontline.
It is located directly in the area of the Joint Forces operation and is one of the most responsible links in countering Russian UAVs in the Donbas.
With the funds purchased new powerful computers, a server, various monitors for displaying the tactical situation, means of communication and connection, as well as batteries and generators, air conditioners, etc.
The Foundation reported that 155 466.6 UAH was spent on the mobile air defense post.
In January 2022, the Return Alive Foundation raised 6 million 31 thousand 223 hryvnias charitable donations to the needs of the Ukrainian military.
