In Lithuania, two PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers of the Ukrainian military are at the final stage of reparations.

Arvydas Anušauskas, Head of the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania, announced this.

Repairs of Ukrainian PzH 2000s are taking place at the Lithuania Defense Services (LDS).

“Two more self-propelled howitzers will soon return to service, and the number of PzH2000s repaired in Lithuania by the LDS will reach 6 units,” the minister stated.

The two PzH 2000s were brought to Lithuania at the end of October, therefore, the repair of the two self-propelled howitzers took approximately a month.

Ukrainian Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers undergoing repair have identification marks in the form of white crosses.

Similar identification marks of the Ukrainian military are used in the Kharkiv region and Donbas. Thus, these PzH 2000s were likely withdrawn from these areas.

In October, it was reported that Lithuania would repair 12 of these German-made howitzers for Ukraine.

In June 2022, the German Rheinmetall and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann opened the Lithuania Defense Services in Lithuania.

Lithuania Defense Services was created to repair and maintain military equipment of the NATO forces.

The modern maintenance and logistics center takes up an area of about 12,000 square meters. The company is capable of servicing Boxer, PUMA, BREM Bergepanzer armored vehicles, various versions of Leopard-2 tanks, and 155-mm Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers.

Due to this enterprise, Ukraine is able to quickly and efficiently carry out maintenance for its PzH 2000s in Lithuania.
