The 412th Nemesis Separate Battalion of the Unmanned Systems Forces, which specializes in the use of bomber drones, has scaled up to the size of a regiment.

The press service of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on that.

The newly created regiment is known for its numerous victories over Russian anti-aircraft missile systems using heavy bomber drones of the same name.

In connection with the change in structure, the unit’s command has announced a recruitment of experienced professionals, as well as those who are ready to learn and acquire new skills. Those interested can fill out the appropriate application form.

The regiment’s expansion was facilitated, in particular, by the addition of the Asgard group, which consists of experienced operators of FPV copters and aircraft-type drones.

This unit is now being used to form a battalion of FPV drone operators.

Performance of the Nemesis regiment

Since October of this year, the unit has released footage of the defeat or complete destruction of ten Russian anti-aircraft systems using bomber drones armed with free-fall ammunition. These systems include Buk-M2, Tor-M2, Osa-AKM, etc.

A significant number of successful strikes were carried out against moving targets or at distances beyond the range of strike drones. For example, in October, the operators of such a drone struck a Buk-M3 system at a distance of 60 kilometers!

In total, the unit claims about 3,000 strikes on enemy equipment, logistics and personnel using their heavy bombers.

Earlier this month, the commander of the 414th Separate Regiment of Strike Unmanned Aircraft Systems announced that his unit would be scaled up to a brigade. This will be the first such formation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During 2024, Madyar’s Birds went from a company of unmanned systems to a separate battalion, then a regiment, and now a separate brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

The unit specializes in the use of attack drones, electronic intelligence and warfare systems, remote drone mining, patrolling and fire correction tasks, and deep reconnaissance.
