The film “Summertime in Ukraine,” dedicated to the volunteers of the International Legion of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, has been released in Ukrainian cinemas.
The Legion’s press service announced this.
“Summertime in Ukraine” by the Babylonʼ13 Film Association will be available in Ukrainian cinemas starting January 30.
The film tells the story of the full-scale Russo-Ukrainian war through the eyes of foreign volunteers.
The film’s main characters are servicemen of the International Legion of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine who are performing combat missions in the most dangerous areas of the frontline.
The film’s plot follows the stories of several volunteers: military personnel of the International Legion of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, members of the Ronin Team unit.
During their service, the soldiers become true friends: they work, study, and relax together. However, the time comes to test the legionnaires’ courage and skills.
The hot summer months are not easy for them, and not all recruits can withstand the high pace of training and service. Meanwhile, disturbing news about the Russian offensive comes from the front.
“The film was made primarily for the American audience, but it has a universal message that will resonate with everyone. It will help to understand more deeply why people from different countries choose to fight for freedom in a foreign, but so close in spirit Ukraine,” the statement reads.
The film will be available in more than 100 locations across Ukraine.
Previously, the film Legions of Light, about the International Legion’s volunteers, was released in June.
Legions of Light is the sixth documentary in the “Military Intelligence of Ukraine” series.
