The Ministry of Defense has codified and authorized the use of the Gulliver universal ground robotic system in the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ units.
The ministry’s press service reported on this.
Developed by Ukrainian engineers based on combat experience, Gulliver performs a wide range of tasks: transports ammunition, equipment, evacuates the wounded, and can also carry combat modules.
In a special configuration, it is capable of performing remote mining.
The system carries over 300 kg of cargo on paved roads and a little less on off-road.
Its pulling force is enough to pull a small military off-road vehicle out of the mud.
Mobile and durable, the Gulliver fits in the back of a pickup truck, operates in a wide range of temperatures, and overcomes steep slopes.
The battery charge is enough to deliver cargo for tens of kilometers and return.
Control is possible via the STARLINK satellite communication system. The range is 45 km, the autonomy is up to 5 hours, the weight is 285 kg, and the maximum speed is up to 20 km/h.
Recently, on February 26, it was reported that more than 200 companies in Ukraine are working on producing ground robotic systems (GRS) for various purposes.
To launch an open market for UAVs in Ukraine, the government has been actively working to create appropriate procedures, simplify the regulatory framework, and support developers and manufacturers.
Militarnyi recently spoke with a unit of the National Guard’s Khartiya Brigade, which is already using ground drones, to learn about the specifics of their use in combat.
