The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Russian Tor surface-to-air missile system using the Switchblade 600 loitering munition.
The press service of the 14th Separate Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Regiment published the video on Telegram.
14th Separate UAV Regiment defeated the Tor together with the Security Service of Ukraine.
After detecting the Russian system, the reconnaissance drone operator continued tracking it and simultaneously transmitted the coordinates to the Switchblade 600 crew.
After launching the loitering munition, the Russian air defense system started to leave its combat position, but at that moment, a precision-guided munition struck its rear.
The second munition set the Russian system on fire.
The damaged system was an M2 version of the Tor SAM, which is currently the most advanced version of this system and poses a threat to Ukrainian drones.
The system was attacked by the military in the Donetsk region, where units are currently conducting combat operations to identify and destroy separate Russian military equipment, artillery and air defense systems.
Militarnyi previously reported that at the beginning of October, the operators of the FPV drones of the Achilles Battalion of the 92nd Assault Brigade had destroyed an enemy Tor air defense system.
According to the published footage, the enemy air defense system was on duty in the field and was detected by an FPV drone.
The Russian Tor is a typical target for Ukrainian weapons, namely cannon and rocket artillery and drones.
As part of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, the Russians lost about 61 combat vehicles of various modifications as destroyed, abandoned, captured and damaged.
