Swedish military personnel intercepted a Russian drone near the French nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle in the port of Malmö.

According to the SVT television channel, the unmanned aerial vehicle attempted to approach the facility.

The drone was launched from a Russian vessel located near the French ship’s berth. This occurred during planned strategic exercises in Swedish territorial waters.

The Swedish side used electronic warfare systems against the drone. After the signal was jammed, the drone disappeared from the surveillance zone.

It is currently unknown whether the device fell into the water or was able to return to the Russian ship.
