Strike drones from the SSU have destroyed a Russian Pantsir air defense system and two radars in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Sources within the Security Service of Ukraine discussed the successful operation with Ukrinform.
In addition, the drones struck two oil depots used by Russian forces on the peninsula.
Overnight and into the morning, Ukrainian drones targeted Russian military and infrastructure sites across Crimea.
“The Russians have lost a Pantsir surface-to-air missile system worth around $20 million – one of the key components of their air defense network,” the source shared.
He added that each destroyed or disabled air defense system significantly weakens Russia’s defenses in the Crimean direction.
According to the sources, the Russian invaders also lost two radar stations of an unspecified type and purpose.
Meanwhile, drones from the SSU struck an oil depot in the village of Hvardiiske, where fuel was being stored.
A large fire broke out at the site, with a massive column of black smoke rising into the sky. Hits were also recorded at another oil depot in the Simferopol area.
Militarnyi reported on these events earlier this morning, citing monitoring channels and photos and videos posted by eyewitnesses on social media.
“The SSU continues its systematic efforts to destroy the air defense systems protecting Crimea and the oil depots supplying the enemy with fuel. Each such special operation reduces the Russians’ military and logistical potential. The explosions will keep coming,” the source noted.
Ukrainian strike drones also attacked the Stavrolen petrochemical plant in Russia’s Stavropol region, sparking a fire.
