The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) conducted a successful operation in the temporarily occupied territories, destroying enemy targets.
According to the agency, Ukrainian specialists have now disabled two light aircraft.
The invaders had stationed them at one of the airfields and used them to intercept Ukrainian long-range sdrones.
The operation aimed to “clear” the airspace for the unimpeded operation of Ukrainian long-range strike drones.
The work of the special unit restored the effectiveness of strikes on enemy targets deep behind enemy lines.
The SSU emphasizes that the actions were carried out with measures to minimize risks to civilian infrastructure and people.
The destruction of the aircraft will prevent the use of aviation means to counter our drones from that airfield in the short term.
‘For every crime they will face just retribution,’ the agency’s statement reads.
The Security Service of Ukraine emphasizes that it continues to strike the invaders by all available means and to respond to threats that hinder the effectiveness of Ukrainian operations.
The SSU also continues to systematically track the enemy’s aviation assets, including light aircraft that the Russians use to combat Ukrainian UAVs in the temporarily occupied territories.
It was recently reported that analysts identified the location of an airfield housing Russian Yak-52 aircraft, which the occupiers deploy to intercept Ukrainian drones.
As previously reported, the recent SSU strikes: FP-2 drones with 105-kilogram warheads hit Russian bases in the occupied territory.
