Serbia Develops IKA-ROCKET Drone With Unguided Rockets

Serbian company PR-DC has developed the IKA-ROCKET drone — hexacopter, capable of launching unguided rockets.

PR-DC announced that the hexacopter can launch up to three 57 mm rockets, including BR-1-57 or S-5.

Its frame uses epoxy material reinforced with carbon fiber, allowing a flight time of more than 30 minutes with a payload of up to 20 kg.

The drone can operate fully autonomously, day and night, according to the company.

The launch tubes are made of fiberglass. The design uses standard aircraft rockets without modification.

“Currently, the drone can carry aerial bombs of various calibers, as well as mechanisms for dropping cargo and launching rockets,” a PR-DC representative said.

IKA-ROCKET is a large drone, measuring 2,490 × 2,400 × 670 mm. The maximum range reaches 30 km, with an operating altitude of up to 500 meters.
