Russian invading troops are preparing to cross the water obstacles in the Southern Buh direction.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on June 9 morning.
The preparation is ordered to improve tactical positions of Russian troops in the occupied territories in southern Ukraine.
These actions are taking place in the Southern Buh direction.
“In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy fired artillery of various calibers at Liubymivka, Dobrianka, Bila Krynytsia, Shyroke, Bereznehuvate, Blahodatne, Liubomyrivka, and Tavriyske.
To improve their tactical positions, the enemy prepares to cross the water obstacles and conducts air reconnaissance with UAVs,” the statement reads.
The Russian invaders also plan to strengthen motorized infantry units with T-62 tank companies.
In addition, the invaders deployed units of tube and rocket artillery, as well as the Tochka-U tactical ballistic missile system.
In May, the Russian military command had deployed T-62M and T-62MV tanks to Ukraine. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the enemy was forced to take obsolete tanks out of storage as a result of losses during hostilities.
The Russians began to install armor ‘cages’ on T-62M tanks. Recently, a group of tanks equipped with improvised “protection” in the form of armor ‘cages’ on top of their turrets was spotted in the Kherson Region.
Designated T-62A “Object 165” tank was adopted by the Soviet Army in 1962. The upgraded version of the T-62 tank with the Sheksna guided weapons system was designated the T-62M.
The upgraded version of the T-62M tank with dynamic hinged protection and without additional armored protection of the turret and hull was designated T-62MV.
