In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian soldiers unsuccessfully tried to take advantage of the snowfall and were defeated by the Ukrainian military.
The National Guard’s Typhoon UAV unit told Militarnyi details of the battle, which took place on the morning of December 10.
The Russian command sent three armored vehicles and infantry on ATVs and motorcycles into the battle.
“The personnel of the Russian troops consisted of about 60 soldiers,” the unit said.
The day before, as always, the situation in this sector of the frontline was difficult but controlled.
Russian units relied on unfavorable weather – snowfall and fewer drones in the sky.
“It was snowing, and the enemy wanted to take advantage of this opportunity – drone operators were working in difficult conditions,” the unit noted.
The units adjacent to the Typhoon joined in repelling the attack, in particular, the 68th Brigade is known to have participated.
Artillery and drones opened fire on the invaders, which managed to fly despite the difficult weather conditions.
The Typhoon unit used bomber drones that dropped explosives directly on the heads of Russian infantrymen.
The assault did not last long – thanks to the work of artillery and unmanned systems units, the convoy was stopped and all enemy equipment was destroyed.
“After that, measures were taken to destroy the rest of the enemy infantry by the Typhoon UAV unit and the adjacent units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the unit added.
