The Ukrainian military continues to repulse Russian attacks in the Vuhledar direction.
Now it is one of the hottest spots on the front line.
The Russian military has been trying to approach the town of Vuhledar for several days.
The Vuhledar direction is defended by soldiers of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians.
The Ukrainian military has recently released a video featuring the destruction of Russian soldiers at short range.
Ukrainian politician Serhiy Leshchenko also showed a video of the destruction of two Russian T-80 tanks (probably T-80BVM) and BMP-3.
“The enemy’s equipment is on fire. The 155th Naval Infantry Brigade was caught under the fire of the Ukrainian Javelins of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians in the suburb of Vuhledar. The T-80 tank and the BMP-3 were destroyed, and the fire was adjusted by our Matrice drone, which we had handed over to the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade two weeks ago,” Serhiy Leshchenko explained in detail.
The 72nd Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians emphasized on January 27 that Vuhledar was under their control.
At the same time, the Russian military has published a video featuring war crimes, such as hitting residential buildings with TOS-1A heavy flamethrower systems and destroying a Ukrainian city.
To capture Vuhledar, the Russians concentrated a combination of their best troops, Naval brigade and airborne troops.
“An armored group of a tank and 3-4 infantry fighting vehicles (this is how they are trying to enter) drives as close as possible to the positions, 100-150 meters away, then the landing party disembarks and moves towards our positions,” Ukrainian military personnel explain Russian tactics.
It is with such armored groups that the enemy attacks simultaneously from three directions: straight forward, along the road from Pavlivka to Marinka, and from both flanks. Opposite Mykilskyi and Shevchenko, the Kashlahach River is too narrow and does not pose a serious obstacle for the Russians. From the sky, many enemy offensives are constantly supported by front-line aviation. The artillery is continuously hitting both on Vuhledar and on the positions of the Ukrainian military around the city.
