Former Russian spy reveals how Putin’s “sex agents” hunt Silicon Valley experts.

In a comment to the New York Post, Russian spy Aliya Roza shared that Russian and Chinese intelligence services actively use so-called “honey traps” to steal technological secrets from the U.S.

She added that foreign female agents deliberately start romantic relationships with engineers and company executives to gain access to confidential information.

“They want information – and they’ll do whatever it takes to get it,” said Roza, who was trained in “sexual espionage” as a teenager.

According to her, recruitment often begins with “accidental encounters” – at the gym, in a café, or on social media – where the agent gradually earns the target’s trust.

After establishing contact, the “love bombing” begins – messages, compliments, bikini photos, and stories about being “lonely” or having a “hard life.”

“This triggers a savior instinct. Every man wants to save someone,” Roza explained.

Once emotional dependence is established, the agent starts to manipulate, encouraging doubts about colleagues and superiors and creating a sense of isolation.

In the final stage comes blackmail: “If you don’t share the information, I’ll disappear forever.” Under emotional pressure, people reveal data they would never disclose under normal circumstances.

Roza noted that Silicon Valley specialists are especially vulnerable due to their isolation and stressful work.

“They’re brilliant but socially unprotected,” she mentioned.

The spy urged employees of tech companies to be cautious about sudden romantic attention accompanied by probing questions or alcohol.

Aliya Roza now lives in Los Angeles, works as a coach, and is developing a book and documentary about “sexual espionage” in the tech world.

Recently, a former U.S. defense industry employee was convicted for attempting to pass military secrets to Russia.
