Russian Soldier Shoots Civilian Near Pokrovsk

A soldier of the Russian invasion forces shot and killed a civilian in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported the incident.

According to the agency, a video circulating on a Telegram channel shows a civilian trying to evacuate from the village of Udachne.

The man was walking along the side of the road, carrying a suitcase with his personal belongings.

At that moment, a Russian soldier, positioned in an ambush inside a ruined building, cynically opened aimed fire and killed him with automatic weapons.

Prosecutors have launched an investigation into a war crime resulting in a person’s death (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The Office of the Prosecutor General noted that this is already the third recorded case this year of Russian forces shooting civilians in the Donetsk region, as documented by prosecutors.

As previously reported, in the village of Torske, the Russian military shot a civilian who was riding a bicycle.

The 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, whose drone recorded the crime, said that the Russians deliberately shot the civilian and then killed him at close range.

FPV drones and Ukrainian artillery later tracked down and destroyed the Russian war criminals.
