Russian Z-Telegram channels have published a video that allegedly captures the flight of a Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo missile during an attack on Russia on the night of October 27.
The footage quickly gained popularity on Russian social media accounts and began to be actively circulated in the Russian media space.
Official sources from both sides haven’t yet confirmed or denied the information about the use of the Flamingo missile.
At the same time, this possibility cannot be completely ruled out, as some of the published materials show signs typical of a cruise missile flight.
The authenticity of the video remains in question, as it is disseminated by Russian propaganda resources without independent confirmation.
Earlier, The Economist reported that Ukraine had begun using FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles to strike at Russian territory.
According to the publication, the missile can fly at an altitude of about 50 meters above the ground, has a range of more than 3,000 km and a warhead weighing 1,150 kg.
The use of such missiles, if the information is confirmed, may indicate the expansion of Ukraine’s long-range strike capabilities.
As a reminder, the Russians have previously announced the use of Flamingo missiles against them.
This is what is actually stated on Ukrainian resources, in particular DroneBomber in X.
And recently, the Russian Federation reported that the Flamingos flew into Russia.
In conclusion, we can agree with a number of international publications that note that Russia’s strategic air campaign is primarily focused on terrorizing cities. At the same time, the Ukrainian one, according to experts, is aimed directly at Russia’s ability to sustain the war.
