The Russian Aerospace Forces have received another batch of fifth-generation Su-57 multirole fighter jets.
According to a statement from PJSC United Aircraft Corporation, part of the Rostec State Corporation, the jets feature a new design and are equipped with upgraded onboard systems and an improved aviation weapons suite.
The previous batch of Su-57 jets likely arrived in the spring of 2025. Before that, in November and December 2024, Russian media reported the delivery of Su-57s to the Russian Aerospace Forces.
The corporation states that the new technical design is intended to expand the range of missions the Su-57 can perform.
Special emphasis is placed on the ability to use new types of aviation munitions within the updated weapons suite.
Russia positions the Su-57 as a multirole frontline aviation platform capable of engaging air, ground, and naval targets.
According to the manufacturer, the aircraft is capable of operating around the clock, including in challenging weather conditions and in environments with active electronic warfare.
Rostec notes that the Su-57 continues to be refined based on experience gained from its use in combat operations.
Vadim Badeha, UAC CEO, announced further enhancements to the fighter jet’s weapons and onboard systems.
Meanwhile, the Russian side has not disclosed the number of aircraft delivered, the composition of the updated armament, or the pace of Su-57 serial production.
As previously reported, Algeria has likely received its first Russian fifth-generation fighter jets.
