Russia is providing Iran with intelligence on the deployment and movement of US troops in the Middle East.
This was reported by the Washington Post, citing three US officials familiar with the intelligence data.
According to available information, Moscow is providing Tehran with the coordinates of priority targets, including the locations of US military ships and air units.
This allows the Iranians to adjust their attacks with kamikaze drones and ballistic missiles.
Experts interviewed by American journalists note that such cooperation is critical for Iran.
This is because Tehran currently has an extremely limited military satellite constellation of its own.
With its strikes, Iran is trying to influence US military logistics in the region, as well as to hit warehouses, headquarters, and the elements of the air and missile defense systems of the US and its allies.
For example, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE were targeted by Iranian strikes aimed at destroying American-made THAAD missile defense systems, which are capable of intercepting ballistic missiles.
The Iranian strike also damaged the American AN/FPS-132 early warning radar station in Qatar.
The radar is designed to detect ballistic missile launches and calculate their trajectories. This data is then used by anti-missile systems.
Interestingly, despite its close ties with Tehran, China currently appears to be refraining from providing direct military or intelligence assistance to Iran in this conflict.
Recently, Iran even threatened European countries with retaliatory strikes in response to possible assistance to the US-Israeli coalition, which is acting against it as part of a military operation.
