Russia Dropped Record Number of Guided Bombs in a Month Since Beginning of 2025

In October 2025, Russian troops sharply increased the number of guided bomb strikes on the territory of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the month, the invaders launched more than 5,328 bombs at the positions of the Defense Forces and frontline cities.

This is the largest number of submunitions recorded in one month since the beginning of the year.

In total, in 10 months of 2025, Russia has already dropped about 40,000 bombs. This is equal to the total number of CABMs used throughout 2024.

Previously, Russian Su-34 aircraft have received new unified gliding and correction modules (UMPK) for FAB-500T bombs.

These systems are designed to transform conventional bombs into high-precision guided munitions with a long range.

Thanks to the modernized UMPK, the declared range of the FAB-500T exceeds 100 kilometers. This allows the Su-34 to attack targets without entering the range of Ukrainian air defense systems.
