Rocket Strike on Oryol and Belgorod: Cities Partially Left Without Power

The Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a rocket strike on the Oryol Thermal Power Plant (TPP) and an energy facility in Belgorod.

Videos and photos are being shared by the Exilenova+ Telegram channel.

Following the strikes, local residents are reporting power outages.

The Oryol Thermal Power Plant (TPP) is the largest source of electricity and heat in the region. It ensures the operation of the energy system and the district heating for the city. The plant’s installed electrical capacity is 330 MW.

This is already the third strike on this facility. One of the previous strikes occurred on the night of November 5, 2025.

On the night of December 15, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a rocket strike on the Luch Thermal Power Plant in Belgorod.

According to the governor, no casualties have been reported so far, but significant damage to the engineering infrastructure has been recorded.
