An anonymous donor from the Netherlands has supplied rifles to six active operations units of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (DIU) as part of an aid package.
The DIU reported this on its official Telegram channel.
The package included more than 700 Hatsan MKA1919 and MAVKA MKA1919 pump-action rifles, 130 Holosun Enclosed HS512C-RD and Holosun Paralow HS403B red-dot sights, and 20,000 rounds of ammunition.
The equipment was delivered to the following DIU units: Artan, Arey, Kraken, Shamanbat, the International Legion, and the Viking Maritime Operations Center. The total value of the assistance is €350,000.
The commander of the Artan unit, call sign Titan, pointed out that the rifles have already proven effective against low-flying FPV attack drones and reconnaissance UAVs. He stressed the importance of such support during a full-scale war and thanked the donor for their contribution to Ukraine’s defense.
The transfer was performed with the assistance of the Collective Assistance and Logistics charitable organization and the Ukraine Aid Operations international fund, with delivery arranged through the military platform ORKOV.NET.
Militarnyi previously reported that under the updated basic general military training program, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have started training soldiers to shoot down drones with rifles.
