Two Estonian defense companies have signed a cooperation agreement with the Polish state-owned group Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ).

The agreement between Milrem Robotics and PGZ aims to speed up the development of new defense technologies, according to Milrem’s press service.

A key focus is integrating PGZ’s equipment and systems into Milrem’s unmanned ground vehicles, improving their autonomy and counter-drone capabilities.

The cooperation also includes exploring ways to integrate Milrem Robotics’ autonomous technologies into vehicles produced by Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ), further expanding the capabilities of next-generation defense platforms.

“By combining Milrem Robotics’ leadership in autonomous ground systems with PGZ’s strong manufacturing base and defense portfolio, we aim to drive innovation, enhance interoperability, and strengthen regional security capabilities,” said Milrem Robotics CEO Kuldar Väärsi.

Representatives of the Estonian defense company Rantelon also announced this week the signing of a cooperation agreement with PGZ’s subsidiary, Cenzin.

Rantelon CEO Karl Taklaja explained that the goal of cooperation with the Polish company is to rapidly strengthen the security sector.

“Together with Cenzin, we are already preparing the first practical projects to develop defense technologies and bring Estonian solutions in radio electronics and drone detection to the Polish market. This will directly contribute to the defense capabilities of the entire region,” said Karl Taklaja.

The company Rantelon specializes in the development and production of radio-frequency electronic equipment and systems.

The company develops solutions in cybersecurity, counter-drone technologies, and electronic warfare, which are used both in Estonia and in international markets, including Ukraine.

Last year, it was announced that Milrem Robotics will deliver more than 150 THeMIS tracked unmanned ground platforms to Ukraine.

The deliveries will be carried out as part of a defense initiative funded and coordinated by the Netherlands.
