Poland continues to deploy its own satellite constellation and is launching two more satellites into orbit.

This was announced by Poland’s Deputy Minister of Defense, Cezary Tomczyk.

According to him, as recently as early 2025, Poland did not have a single satellite of its own.

At the same time, by the end of 2026, the country plans to have nine satellites in orbit.

The Polish Ministry of Defense calls this a qualitative change in the development of the state’s space capabilities.

This involves the creation of its own satellite reconnaissance and surveillance segment.

Such systems allow for the collection of real-time data on the movement of troops, equipment, and infrastructure.

The satellites can also be used for fire control and operational planning.

The deployment of this constellation is taking place against the backdrop of Poland’s strengthening defense capabilities.

The country is actively investing in high-tech solutions, particularly in intelligence, unmanned systems, and digital infrastructure.

Poland is one of Ukraine’s key allies and is building up its own capabilities along NATO’s eastern flank.

Recently, Poland prepared for the launch of its domestic SAR satellite, Eycore-1.
