Last December, the Polish Ministry of Defense signed a contract with the United States for the supply of 300 used Cougar 4×4 MRAP armored vehicles.
This decision was called an urgent need of the country’s Armed Forces.
The Cougar is a protected MRAP vehicle. The armored vehicle was designed to provide mine-resistant protection of US military personnel.
The first deliveries of serial vehicles began in 2004.
Also, at the end of December last year, the Polish Armed Forces received Rosomak-S armored personnel carriers to transport Spike LR ATGM crews.
Rosomak S.A. has completed the transfer of a batch of new Rosomak-S wheeled armored personnel carriers for transporting Spike anti-tank guided missiles and their crews.
Deliveries are made under a contract concluded on September 14, 2020 between the Armaments Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defense and Rosomak S.A., for a total of 60 armored personnel carriers in this special version.
In 2021, the Polish company Huta Stalowa Wola presented a new armored vehicle with a 4×4 wheel formula at the defense and industrial exhibition MSPO-2021.
