Poland is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will also receive another batch of armored vehicles from the allies.
This was announced by Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosyniak-Kamysza at the Ramstein meeting.
“Poland is preparing another support package for Ukraine, another donation,” he stated.
The Polish minister added that “there is a border that we do not cross.”
“This border is the security of the Polish state,” the head of the defense ministry emphasized.
Kosyniak-Kamysh also added that at a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, he presented the coalition’s roadmap for building armored capabilities for Ukraine and information about the next donation.
“All the countries participating in this meeting are preparing for further support and donations in favor of Ukraine,” he summarized.
It was announced in mid-December that Poland would hand over a new aid package to Ukraine.
At that time, the exact date of the new package was not mentioned, but it was expected to happen in January 2025.
In November, the Polish government officially disclosed record amounts of aid to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
If you add up the costs of supporting the Ukrainian Defense Forces and helping refugees in terms of gross domestic product, Poland ranks first among all the countries that participated in the aid.
Poland was the first country to massively supply Ukraine with heavy weapons, it was Poland that initiated the creation of the “tank coalition” and was the first to provide Ukraine with combat aircraft.
